Cooperative Ultimate Frizbee

Developed at Camp Common Ground summer of 2001.

Object: Pass the frizbee from one end of the field to the other as fast as possible. A game consists of 2 or more "trips" down field.

Equipment: Frizbee, stop watch

Rules:

Every player must catch and throw at least once each trip.
A player must stop running as soon as s/he catches the frizbee.
Every player must travel the full length of the field to the end zone, before they can participate in the next trip.
Incomplete passes add a 15 second penalty to your time, but you may continue from where it falls.
The last successful catch must be in the "end zone."
A bonus of 5 seconds is subtracted from your time whenever the frizbee is touched (tipped) by a third person between throw and successful catch. Only one such bonus may be earned per throw.
The "class" of game is determined by the length of the field, number of players and the number of trips down the field. The length of bonus and penalty times could also be adjusted. Keep these factors the same so your teams scores can be used to assess its progress.

Optional: You may find it easier to insure that all players traverse the whole field by using flags. Get two different colored sets flags, . Place each set in opposite end zones. Each player must carry a flag (tucked into belt or pocket) to the opposite end, exchanging it for one of the other color each trip.
